A milder, wetter easterly weather pattern brought different conditions to the Waitaki Valley, with less of the extreme westerly wind often associated with the region.

Careful vineyard management allowed the fruit to remain pristine while giving the grapes the additional time needed to reach the desired level of ripeness. The wine reflects the limestone soils and terroir of the vineyard.

In the glass, the wine shows bright yellow tones with golden hues. Aromas of tropical fruit sit alongside toasted brioche and vanilla bean spice, leading into a full-bodied and opulent palate. Flinty acidity provides freshness and balance, carrying the richness of the wine through the finish.

A more considered expression of New Zealand Pinot Gris, Q Barrel Reserve Pinot Gris combines generous fruit, texture and richness with the mineral freshness of the Waitaki Valley.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0725/5094/0749/files/Q_Wine_Pinot_Gris_Barrel_Reserve_Waitaki_Valley.png?v=1793938290
