“Straw hues with golden highlights and very bright appearance lead to a bouquet of complexity and richness, barrel ferment scents and ripe golden apple and baked goods. This wine’s story is best told on the palate with a satin-cream touch then flavours of baked apples and pears, a mix of fruits and barrel spices, lees and fine tannins. I suggest some chill on the wine for service - say 10 C. Best drinking from 2024 through 2027.”

“Tree fruits and tropical fruit flavours combine with spicy oak and yeast lees characters to produce a dry wine with good complexity. It still retains good varietal identity. Stylish pinot gris”

“This barrel fermented Pinot Gris exhibits vibrant fruit and acidity, layering spice and flinty minerals along a creamy, broad palate. Complex and elegant.”

“A gold-ish brassy hue leads to a bouquet of complexity and power with scents of ripe brown pear and baked apple, there’s layers of lees and barrel spice then a wet stone earthy suggestion. A dry wine that reminds of an Alsace style with a full-rounded mouthfeel, spice and phenolic power then a core of fruit. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from day purchase through 2027.”

“Light gold. An intriguing pinot gris with toasty oak, ripe citrus and crunchy apricot aromas riding an underlying streak of salinity and oystershell minerality. The palate shows clear vanilla and clove spice from the wood and a full-bodied weight backed up by tight and salty acidity. Completely dry and even a bit chewy on the finish from barrel tannins, this contrasts the ripe fruit and rich oak with spine-tingling acidity which brings everything back into focus. This has the fruit weight and structure to evolve positively in the mid-term and will suit those who like the richer, oakier style”
